We are reaching out as the board of San Francisco Ignite Leadership in Youth (SFILY) to share an opportunity for your students to learn about leadership and self-empowerment. SFILY is a youth-led organization run by high school students from Lick-Wilmerding, Lowell, and Stuart Hall. We empower youth by connecting them to social issues that they are passionate about through our workshops and activities.
Our seasonal leadership programs have connected nearly 200 middle school students to free mentorship sessions, guest speakers, youth panels, and service trips within 1 year. We help students develop leadership skills to bring positive change.
We are inviting current 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders to attend our FREE 6-week-long Fall Passions for Change Program from October 1st - November 5th. Due to scheduling issues, our program will be held at Glen Park for the first two weeks. For all sessions after the service trip, we will be at Lick-Wilmerding High School (755 Ocean Avenue). The program will start and finish from 1:30pm - 3:30pm every Saturday.
